Psychopunch at the Rock Café St. Pauli, Hamburg

On a warm summer evening one of Hamburgs finest live clubs had put on a great rock show. A big blast of skandinavian Punkrock awaited us at the Rock Café St. Pauli.

The opening Band of the evening were „The Dirters“ from Finnland.  Despite the fact, that the audience was still a bit small, they rocked their set hard and fast. Maybe it was simply a bit early for a saturday night. Nevertheless the trio from Tempere stepped on the gas and played „Rockaway Beach“ as an encore for the cheering crowd.

After a half an hour break crowd got way bigger and the Rock Café started to fill up. Although there were quite a few big major events in Hamburg, it was meant to be a great night out in a club. „Psychopunch“ from Schweden are well known for playing a great deal of melodic punkrock. The band of four from Västerås has been around for the last 15 years and have been rocking every stage they could find. Always grinning and joking these guys are at least as much fun as they are having on stage. The setlist was packed with a mix of classics and new songs from their recent Album „Smakk Valley“. it was a no fillers all killers night.

After the concert we all went to the Queen Calavera to party hard at the official Aftershow party. Natsumi Scarlett from Niederlanden, Pepper Potemkin from Schweden and Scarlett Martini from Italy prooved to be excellent burlesque artists. DJ Blair Storm played a  great mix of Psychobilly, Punkrock and Metal and Felix mixed excellent cocktails.
